About · Himaad Riaz
A thinker,a maker,still curious.
I like the space between “what if” and “let’s try it,” and making things early enough that we can still change our minds.
I like the space between “what if” and “let’s try it.” I like making things early enough that we can still change our minds, because a rough prototype can start a useful conversation.
I’ve designed for people managing epilepsy, home health nurses working without signal, people paying bills between stops, resellers making split-second calls, and teams trying to see the same picture.
Principles
How I like to work.
- 01
Ask good questions
What problem are we exploring? What are we assuming? What do we need to learn first? I try to answer these before getting attached to a solution.
- 02
Make something real
A rough prototype starts a better conversation than a description. I use AI to get a working version into people’s hands early.
- 03
Keep getting better
Good feedback can change the idea completely, and I try to leave room for that. There’s always a next version.
The workbench
Tools in rotation.
A few trusted tools. Plenty of room to experiment.
09In the mix
The tool changes with the question. The goal stays the same: make something we can learn from.

The lab · working ideas
Some things only make sense once you try them. Real interactions, sample content.
One set of data. More than one way in.
A dashboard can answer the wrong question beautifully. What if the view changed around what you need to know?
The question should shape the view.
Your turn: Pick a question.
Where are people getting stuck?

three recurring issues

- Understanding a bill11
- Knowing a save worked7
A chart makes the repeated issue easy to spot.
